This programme has been created by Health Education England e-Learning for Healthcare (HEE e-LfH) in response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) global pandemic.
The programme includes key materials to help the health and care workforce respond to Coronavirus.
The programme is freely available to colleagues working in the NHS, independent sector and social care. We have removed the requirement to register and log in.
More content will be added in the coming days and weeks. The additional content will include new sessions and content curated from different sources such as existing HEE e-LfH sessions and materials from other organisations.
Global success for respiratory training app

A respiratory physiotherapist at the Royal Free London has launched a new app to help physiotherapists develop skills needed when treating patients with COVID-19 (coronavirus).
Stephanie Mansell worked with colleague Iain Loughran from North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust, both part of NHS England’s clinical entrepreneur training programme, to rapidly develop and launch ONCALLbuddy. The app gives physiotherapists access to training and resources to help them manage COVID-19 positive patients with confidence.

Iain Loughran, MSK extended scope physiotherapist, and Stephanie Mansell, consultant respiratory physiotherapist, are NHS England Clinical Entrepreneurs. They have co-founded ONCALLbuddy, an app designed to support physiotherapists deployed in respiratory and critical care settings.

To meet the educational needs of the workforce in the current COVID-19 pandemic requires a multi method approach. Healthcare professionals will be accessing didactic face to face lectures, web based lectures, e-learning and social media platforms.
ONCALLbuddy is a professional facing app that is accessible on mobile and tablet devices. The app contains a range of educational resources for physiotherapists working in respiratory and critical care settings and includes content on; common conditions, assessment, treatment and COVID-19. ONCALLbuddy was developed in response to the COVID-19 pandemic which has seen a redeployment of the workforce into respiratory care.
